Time of Transition

He made no move to return Mello to his room when morning came. In fact, a good week later there was still no move being made to that extent, and on that morning, when Mello woke it was to the now usual configuration of Sephiroth being wound around him, pinning his hands. This time, however, the act was accompanied by the silver haired man actually being asleep still.

Not to say they hadn't been spending all their time together, but Mello hadn't had the chance to see him asleep until then, him holding out for the blond to sleep and then rising before he could.

"No." Then he leaned down and bit his neck on the uninjured side, not hard enough to break skin, but definitely abruptly.

Mello gasped, mostly in surprise, and tried to at least shift so his ribs didn't feel like they were caving in. "I can't - breathe, you fucker--"

He growled lowly, sucking hard on the spot caught in his teeth, only easing his grip the tiniest fraction.

Wincing, Mello tried to get some more room between them by repositioning his elbows. Not that he could move his arms much. He knew that would leave a mark, but by this point he didn't care about that. After all, he would have the scars much longer than a bite mark.

"Get off me," he hissed, still breathlessly.

he released that bite, shifted his hold to free his lungs and wrap one around his waist as the other tangled too tightly in his hair. "No." Then he leaned to go for his shoulder in another sharp bite.

"Ow!" Mello complained as his head was forced back slightly by the painful tugging on his hair. He tried to shrug Sephiroth off, moving his shoulder up into his face sharply.

That just made him bite down hard enough to almost reach blood, growling darkly.

His burns still hurt like a bitch, and the harsh biting wasn't helping. Mello snarled in pain and indignation, repeating the action, but harder.

He twisted, shoving him down on his back on the bed as he released the bite. "You wanted to undo my work, fine, we'll undo my work."

"Ow!" Mello yelped, gasping for breath he'd been denied and trying to sit back up quickly.

This may come as a shock to you but I don't like biting people, not even during sex." He leaned a bit further down his body, nipped at his side.

Mello shifted away quickly, snapping back, "So don't, stupid."

"No, I really feel this is the best approach to you just now." Then he put his hand on his shoulder to keep him firmly down.

What? Nibbling on him until he submitted? Unlikely. Mello was skeptical. He growled, shoving at Sephiroth again. "Get off."

"No." He turned his head to bite his belly with a hard suck, the word plainly irritated.

Mello's stomach sucked in on instinct as he flinched back. It didn't hurt so much as was annoying, and he shoved at Sephiroth again, harder, grabbing a fistful of hair to pull on as well. "Stop that."

He released the skin and slapped his hand, eyes narrowing for a moment before he slid further down and nipped near his groin. "Behave."

That got his attention, teeth too close to sensitive areas, and Mello flinched. "What are you trying to do?" he snapped, trying to scoot away.

"I am going to touch you, because I want to." His voice was very soft. "If you respond or not is hardly an issue."

"If I respond or not," Mello repeated flatly, still stubbornly putting up a fight. "You make no fucking sense." After all, Mello had been under the impression Sephiroth insisted on being recognized for what he was doing. Then again, seeing as Mello would prefer not to be touched at all, or bitten, of course he would argue.

His voice was very quiet. "I am going to touch you, and there will be no doubt in your mind I am myself while I'm doing it, and there will be no excuses in any direction."

This time, Mello froze, eyes narrowing.

"What are you talking about?" He didn't like how this was sounding.

"If you react to me, you react to -me-, and if you don't, well, that should please you, shouldn't it?" He pressed a kiss low against his belly.

"What are you planning?" Mello snarled, flinching away from him, realizing slowly where this might be going and not liking it in the least. He wasn't sure what he was supposed to be reacting to, but if it was where his mind was jumping-- No. He didn't like that at all.

"Is it really that hard to figure out Mello?" His voice was soft, and he rubbed his cheek against his skin.
