Time of Transition

He made no move to return Mello to his room when morning came. In fact, a good week later there was still no move being made to that extent, and on that morning, when Mello woke it was to the now usual configuration of Sephiroth being wound around him, pinning his hands. This time, however, the act was accompanied by the silver haired man actually being asleep still.

Not to say they hadn't been spending all their time together, but Mello hadn't had the chance to see him asleep until then, him holding out for the blond to sleep and then rising before he could.

"No." He turned his head to bite his belly with a hard suck, the word plainly irritated.

Mello's stomach sucked in on instinct as he flinched back. It didn't hurt so much as was annoying, and he shoved at Sephiroth again, harder, grabbing a fistful of hair to pull on as well. "Stop that."

He released the skin and slapped his hand, eyes narrowing for a moment before he slid further down and nipped near his groin. "Behave."

That got his attention, teeth too close to sensitive areas, and Mello flinched. "What are you trying to do?" he snapped, trying to scoot away.

"I am going to touch you, because I want to." His voice was very soft. "If you respond or not is hardly an issue."

"If I respond or not," Mello repeated flatly, still stubbornly putting up a fight. "You make no fucking sense." After all, Mello had been under the impression Sephiroth insisted on being recognized for what he was doing. Then again, seeing as Mello would prefer not to be touched at all, or bitten, of course he would argue.

His voice was very quiet. "I am going to touch you, and there will be no doubt in your mind I am myself while I'm doing it, and there will be no excuses in any direction."

This time, Mello froze, eyes narrowing.

"What are you talking about?" He didn't like how this was sounding.

"If you react to me, you react to -me-, and if you don't, well, that should please you, shouldn't it?" He pressed a kiss low against his belly.

"What are you planning?" Mello snarled, flinching away from him, realizing slowly where this might be going and not liking it in the least. He wasn't sure what he was supposed to be reacting to, but if it was where his mind was jumping-- No. He didn't like that at all.

"Is it really that hard to figure out Mello?" His voice was soft, and he rubbed his cheek against his skin.

"Not the point. I want you to tell me," Mello demanded, again trying to shift away, grabbing a handful of hair to yank at.

"I have full intention of seeing if I can bring you to climax through sheer stimulation my detective."

So it had been something along the lines of what he'd suspected. Mello glared hatefully at him. "Yeah, right," he scoffed angrily. "You're the least arousing thing I've ever seen. Get off me." That last was punctuated by a vicious, violent tug on his hair.

"We'll see if you really find that true. Now either allow me in peace or I'll pin you down and do it that way."

"I'm not going to just sit around and allow it, and you know that," Mello snapped, and he had no idea how Sephiroth kept from reacting because he was pretty sure he was ripping quite a few hairs out, the way he kept pulling violently.

He finally gave a hard shiver and freed a hand to reach up and gently grab Mello's wrist. "I am aware of that, but I choose not to move onto bindings without extreme provocation."

Mello snorted, twisting his wrist away from the light grip with a hard yank.

"Glad we understand each other then," he remarked dryly. He knew he had no way to really stop him. But that didn't mean he was okay with sitting back and giving up. Rather than the opposite, Sephiroth's constant presence lately was only making Mello more angry and willing to fight.

He didn't let go, in fact, he reached to snatch the other wrist up as well. "Of course we do."

Goddamn superhuman strength-- Mello hissed and bucked up suddenly, trying to get a good angle to kick.

He laughed lowly, pressing the hands down to the bedding as he settled his body down on the blond's legs. "Shhhh."

"You shut up," Mello snapped, even if it wasn't much of a comeback, and struggled relentlessly despite knowing it was useless. He honestly preferred tiring himself out trying to just giving up.

He didn't mind, really, and rubbed his cheek over his hip on a soft laugh. "So vocal."

Mello bucked, trying to knee him at the same time. "Nothing new there."

"True. I do like that about you." He shifted to press down, making the effort to knee especially ineffective.
