Breaking point

Mello had tried his patience on many levels since he'd acquired him. He'd bit, kicked, punched, clawed,and every other means of vicious attack he could try in the time he'd had him. None of that had really bothered him. Hurt, yes, but aside from the lone groin shot it had never made him angry.

Having his warnings ignored, however, did. He'd been very kind to the man on this day. He'd coddled him, let him roam loose on the grounds, and even let him attack and play without much int he way of retaliation. However, there was a point when enough was enough and he was still a healthy male in his prime.

He'd been trying to control himself because he didn't want to break his pet, but his pet insisted on doing something deliberately after finding out it was arousing? No.

That was an invitation.

Thus, that led to this, him bringing him into a room he hadn't intended to use for a few weeks yet, if that soon, and him flipping the man off his shoulders to press him down, belly down, on a soft, padded mattress. There were other things in the room, but they were nicely closeted away. No, first he'd make the man feel him, then he'd move on to -training- him.

A loud grunt was forced from his lungs when Mello was thrown down, pressed face-first into the mattress. He didn't even get a chance to look around, turning his head quickly to the side to be able to breathe even as he struggled to shove Sephiroth's hands away and at least sit up.

He ignored him, planting his knee on his back and grabbing a wrist to drag it up over his head, clicking the soft padded cuff around his wrist before turning his attention on the other one to do the same. There was some slack, he could tress up on his hands or elbows, but he wouldn't be bringing his hands down below his ears.

"Fuck! Let go!" He kept cursing, but Sephiroth was stronger than him, and Mello was soon shackled to the headboard of the bed he'd been dumped on.

He yanked and tugged, and it was a good thing the cuffs were padded or he'd already be chafing his wrists, but the bonds were obviously going to hold tight. He kept trying anyway.

Anger was the only way to keep from panicking right now.

That was fine, and he slinked down his body, twisting to grab his ankles and give them a similar treatment. The shackles to the footboard had more slack, enough that he could force Mello to curl his legs under him with a little room to spare if he felt like it. "You see, I intended to wait longer for this." It was a murmur, and he stroked his back softly once the last shackle was in place.

Mello immediately tried to kick him, though he was working blind since it was a bad angle to be able to see what Sephiroth was doing. No one would be able to say he didn't struggle as he was chained down, but the fact of the matter was that, in the end, he was cuffed securely to the bed and glaring balefully over his shoulder at Sephiroth.

"As if that matters. The fact you intended it as all is the problem," he pointed out acridly.

"You're mine. I got you because you please me and I find you appealing. Otherwise I would have stuck you in a cell somewhere or let someone kill you instead of keeping you and working on tempering you to being what I desire." He continued to stroke his back, shaking his head a little. "Besides, you could have avoided ever being caught at all if you hadn't been so keen on underestimating me."

Ignoring that last part, Mello tried to arch away from the touch, insisting scathingly, "I am not an object to be 'tempered' to your liking, you sadistic fuck!"

"Yes you are." He ran his palms up to his shoulders, then leaned over him, pressing down as he kissed the top of his spine, hair sliding loose to tickle against his back.

He fell still suddenly, though his stiffness made it obvious he was still unwelcoming to any attention. He was just conserving his energy. After being sore and scraped from his escapade among the trees, he needed to rest a moment and see if he could gather his strength to try doing something about this new situation.

"Repeating that isn't going to make it true," he insisted, with a now-quiet intensity.

He'd had time to muse over his choice by the time morning had come, and he'd decided it would be better to make the blond understand how things were going to change now rather than later. Better he not think that even the most primal of things would be his choice any longer. Decided, he slipped off to the blond's current room, then padded up to the bed, leaning to seeif he was sleeping.

He was. Uncomfortably and fitfully, having finally drifted off due to sheer exhaustion only a few hours ago. He's spent the rest of his time swearing and cursing and pulling and struggling until his whole body was sore, not even counting the scrapes and bruises he'd sustained climbing trees the previous day.

Satisfied with this, he moved to a cabinet on the far wall, pulling down a few things, glancing over to study Mello with careful eyes, then pulled another item down as well before moving over and setting the entire lot of it out of sight by the bed before climbing onto it. "Wake up my detective."

He woke up groggily as soon as he felt the bed dip under Sephiroth's weight, and though he tried to lift his head and wake up immediately, his tired body was having other ideas. His heartrate was still too slow from deep sleep for him to struggle right away, so he simply lay there, opening his eyes to glare balefully, blearily over his shoulder at Sephiroth.

"Leave me alone," he growled, voice scratchy from sleep. And possibly all the hollering of swear words he'd done before.

"No. I have quite a bit of grooming to do with you, and I want to get the more unsavory parts of the process out of the way immediately." He petted his back. "Just stay relaxed, it would work best that way."

He stiffened immediately at the petting. "Don't touch me," Mello snarled, arching away and looking as though he was trying to bury himself completely in the mattress.

He shook his head, then leaned to get together what he needed to deal with cleaning the boy out so there would be no accidents later, neatly setting them on the bed before straddling the blond's back, using his knees to keep him in place. "The less you fight the faster we'll be done with this part of the new routine."

Even trying to buck was impossible, considering how much heavier than him Sephiroth was. Mello grunted quietly, trying to squirm, but gave up out of necessity.

"Why are you doing this?" he demanded in a low growl because focusing on anger was a lot easier than thinking of exactly what was happening here, what Sephiroth wanted him to do. "All it's serving is your sick fetishes. I'd be just as unlikely to escape a locked room with a toilet," he pointed out. "The lowest criminals are treated with more decency!"

Dogs, even! Not that Sephiroth cared, he was sure. But he was getting desperate and trying to ignore it and it wasn't working out easily.

It had been two and a half weeks since he'd introduced Mello to his new routine, but he felt, in that time, that Mello had come to something remotely close to understanding his new situation. Thus, when he came over to him that morning, instead of going to get his things, he moved over and petted his back first. "How is my detective this morning?"

Mello was laying face-down still, though he'd taken to occasionally turning over to sleep on his back, just to have some small change in his life. He didn't even open his eyes when he heard Sephiroth come in, or when he felt the by-now familiar (if not anymore welcome) touch.

"Just get it over with," he said quietly, and it wasn't even a demand anymore, nothing but empty resignation in his voice.

He shook his head and leaned down, nosing his temple. "Answer my question my detective."

Unlike he'd been doing for most of the first week, by now Mello had even given up trying to move his head away from such attentions.

"It's the same answer as always." Which would be he was feeling horrible.

He petted his hair gently, then leaned up, fitting a key to the lock on one of his wrists and unlatching it. "If you're good, I'll consider not chaining you back down."

He felt Sephiroth touching his cuffed wrist, but it was feeling the key in the lock and the click of it opening that finally made him open his eyes. He stared at the silver-haired man listlessly, with vague disbelief. Then he nodded. There was nothing else to say. All he wanted was to be able to sit up, maybe even stand. Pulling his hand away slowly, he vaguely wondered if he might have forgotten how to.

Pleased with the reaction, he undid the others, then eased back to put the key down. "We're going to do your morning preparations in the bathroom today." He then waited to see if Mello could get up without help.

He couldn't even find it in himself to protest the implication that Sephiroth would still be joining him and watching. He should have been disgusted by the spark of relief that came with hearing he could actually use a toilet. But he was too drained to be disgusted by his situation anymore. He felt stagnant and unreal, and Mello sat up shakily, staring around the room from this new angle as if seeing it for the first time.

Slowly, he scooted to the edge of the bed, letting his legs hang down over it and staring at them as well as if trying to remember how they worked.
