Breaking point

Mello had tried his patience on many levels since he'd acquired him. He'd bit, kicked, punched, clawed,and every other means of vicious attack he could try in the time he'd had him. None of that had really bothered him. Hurt, yes, but aside from the lone groin shot it had never made him angry.

Having his warnings ignored, however, did. He'd been very kind to the man on this day. He'd coddled him, let him roam loose on the grounds, and even let him attack and play without much int he way of retaliation. However, there was a point when enough was enough and he was still a healthy male in his prime.

He'd been trying to control himself because he didn't want to break his pet, but his pet insisted on doing something deliberately after finding out it was arousing? No.

That was an invitation.

Thus, that led to this, him bringing him into a room he hadn't intended to use for a few weeks yet, if that soon, and him flipping the man off his shoulders to press him down, belly down, on a soft, padded mattress. There were other things in the room, but they were nicely closeted away. No, first he'd make the man feel him, then he'd move on to -training- him.

"And I never said I intended to bring you back here to bind you down again, you jumped to that thought all on your own, and your refusal to calm is going even further to making it true." He didn't move. He could ride the blond out easily enough.

He was sobbing, barely realizing it, and somewhere along the line the mindless struggling turned to clinging at Sephiroth. "Don't..." He couldn't stand being there again. He couldn't stand barely being able to move. He was going to die or go crazy or explode and he didn't know what but it was bad, awful, and he couldn't stand it.

He shifted his hold, pulling the blond around so he was against his chest as he turned to sit on the bed the blond in his lap.

Going limp, Mello let him do whatever he wanted. Just being in this room made him give up again suddenly, the fact he was going to be tied up again and left here all alone a certainty in his mind. He cried loudly, face buried in Sephiroth's chest.

He stroked his back and hair, purring softly at him and holding him close, making no move to pry him from him.

It was a long time before Mello seemed to realize nothing was happening. Or perhaps he simply wore himself out from crying.

Either way, the tears stopped coming eventually and he stopped trembling and hiccuping, falling deathly still in Sephiroth's arms.

"Why must you have assumed so badly of me hmm? You upset yourself for no reason." His voice was soft, and he just slowly petted him.

It wasn't as though Mello had been given many good things to go by, so really, the assumption was a fair one. He didn't move though, or answer. He hated the petting yet wanted it at the same time. The motion was soothing, despite the person doing it.

He sighed and rested his cheek on his hair. "Rest, pet, just rest.

"Don't..." His voice was hoarse and thick from crying. Mello stopped, coughing to clear his throat before he tried again. "Don't call me that," he told Sephiroth quietly, wondering why he hadn't chained and left him yet.

"But you are, my dear detective. You know that." He listened to his breathing carefully.

"I'm not. I keep telling you..." He sounded drained. It was barely even arguing anymore, just desperate repeating. "You're wrong."

"How am I wrong? I haven't even had to deflect any rescue attempts -on- you, so you can't even really claim a life out of here keeps you from it."

"Shut up." His voice was still quiet, but there was a new edge of vehemence. "You are wrong."

"If I am, then why are you still here?"

Mello tried to shove him away, choking down another sob. "I said shut up. You're wrong!"

His lover was probably just being quiet about it so Sephiroth wouldn't move them. ...where-ever they were. He had no idea if he was even still in the same country.

"Shut up!"

"No. If anyone was coming, they would have found you by now, wouldn't they? I haven't been trying to hide. I haven't tried to stop anyone from saying what happened to you when you were caught."

"You're lying!" Mello spat. He refused to believe no one was looking for him. He'd lived with the fucker for a year. He would at least be looking! He should. Mello was trembling again.

"It's creeping up on two months that I've had you now."

Mello froze in surprise. It had felt longer, he knew that... but he'd kept telling himself it couldn't be that long.

But two months was... a very long time.

He shook his head vehemently, nails digging into Sephiroth's chest where his hands had been resting. "It doesn't matter. I don't need anyone to rescue me, and I'm not your pet!"

"Of course you don't need to be rescued. You're already home." He moved one of his hands to rest over Mello's, ignoring the sting through his shirt.

"No, no," Mello protested with quiet, desperate sadness. "I'll never accept that. So stop..."

"We won't stay in this house forever, my detective, but I will eventually be home for you, and where I am the place you want to be." He kissed his temple. "I am willing to take my time. I have, after all, waited -years- to find someone I wanted, I can wait longer still."

"That won't happen," Mello repeated in barely more than a whisper, inclining his head away from the kiss. "I won't let you..."

"Weeks, months, years, I have the patience to wait." He nuzzled his hair anyway.
